Lionel Congressional Set w/ 2340 Tuscan + Passengers BOXED

Here is a nice "O" gauge postwar set of Lionel trains. Set No. 2254W from 1955. This features the desirable No. 2340 Tuscan 5-stripe Pennsylvania GG-1 with the following lighted aluminum Passenger cars - the No. 2542 Betsy Ross Vista-Dome; 2544 Molly Pitcher Pullman; 2543 William Penn Pullman; and the 2541 Hamilton Observation. This includes the hard 2340-10 Box with insert and paper, as well as some boxes for the cars. Overall, this set is in excellent condition. The engine runs smoothly in both forward and reverse. Stripes are good, but somewhat faded through age and handling. The Passenger Cars are all in almost like new condition. Nice clean bottoms showing no oxidation. They looks virtually unrun. All cars include their original Inspection tag. The boxes for these cars are rough, and missing ends. We have one insert, and missing the 2531 box. This is a very nice and sought after set - don't miss.
