Rare 1938 Lionel Prewar 700E 4-6-4 Scale Hudson w/ 700W Tender

In my opinion, here is the ultimate Lionel prewar "O" gauge Steam Engine. Mention the New York Central Railroad's "Hudson" locomotive 5344, and most collectors think of this train. Here is the 1937/38 version of the Lionel No. 700E Locomotive with its 700W Tender. Black zinc ally die-cast superstructure, nickel plates, rubber stamped "5344" below the windows and on the headlight. 14-1/8". NEW YORK CENTRAL on the tender. Condition on this train is excellent plus original condition. There is absolutely NO casting deterioration on any part. I believe you would be hard pressed to find a nicer example. The tender shell looks just as nice as the engine, both side with strong graphics. This set includes its original Display Board, and the Engine Box. Missing the tender box. The pick-up roller on the tender was added at a later date, but could be removed if you would like. Pictures tell the story on this rare train. Runs well, but this will be a great display and investment piece. Don't miss this rare and unique train - sure to be the focus of any collection. Enjoy all the pictures, and let me know if you have any questions.
