High Grade 1937 Lionel 700E 4-6-4 Scale Hudson w/ 700W TenderIn my opinion, here is the ultimate Lionel prewar "O" gauge Steam Engine. Mention the New York Central Railroad's "Hudson" locomotive 5344, and most collectors think of this train. Here is the 1937 version of the Lionel No. 700E Locomotive with its 700W Tender. Serial Number 01-1647. Black zinc ally die-cast superstructure, nickel plates, rubber stamped "5344" below the windows and on the headlight. 14-1/8". NEW YORK CENTRAL on the tender. Condition on this train is excellent plus to like new original condition. There is absolutely NO casting deterioration on any part. I believe you would be hard pressed to find a nicer example. The tender shell looks just as nice as the engine, both sides with strong graphics. This set includes its original Display Board, the Engine Box and Tender Box AND the ultra rare Master Carton. Pictures tell the story on this rare train. Hardly a mark. Runs well, but this will be a great display and investment piece. Engine box has the most wear and is missing its interior flaps. Master carton is missing some flaps on one end. The other end has great graphics and original Lionel tape. Display board also has some wear and oxidation on its rails. Don't miss this rare and unique train - sure to be the focus of any collection. Enjoy all the pictures, and let me know if you have any questions. Price: $9750 SORRY! SOLD! |
