Lionel Prewar Set # 148 w/ 261, 257T + 529 530 Passenger OB SET BOX (DAKOTApaul)

Here is a fairly hard set of Lionel prewar "O" gauge trains to find - from 1931. This is Lionel Set No. 148. It features the No. 261 2-4-2 tinplate copper trim Steam Locomotive with its No. 257T tender. Also, it includes the terra-cotta No. 529 Pullman Car and the No. 530 Observation Car. Includes the two passenger car boxes. Also, comes with its Set Box. I've included many pictures below for you to see the overall condition. The Engine has a broken front cow catcher. When tested, it hums, but did not run. Some oxidation underneath on wheels. The Tender looks good with some minor oxidation. Both cars are in excellent condition with some oxidation on the wheels and couplers. One box is missing most flaps, the other has some missing flaps. The Set box is nice and sturdy in good shape.
