Rare Lionel Ives Transition # 257 Steam Loco w/ 257T Tender + BOXES

WOW! Here is a beautiful all original Ives/LionelNo. 257 Steam Locomotive with its No. 257T Tender, both with orange stripe. I sold a set like these in December, and this set is even better. What is nice about this set is that it comes with its rare original BOXES and insert. Lionel made these in the early 1930s in O Gauge with Ives Plates.  The set  is in excellent plus condition - as seen in the pictures. A couple minor nicks in the paint. When put on a test track the engine ran well. The Engine box has one flap that is in half, and one repaired, but has all its original flaps and a nice insert. The Tender box is missing two interior flaps on one end, and most flaps on the other. Both boxes marked correctly on ends.
