Lionel No 2207W Set w/ 2353 ABA Diesels 3484 6415 6417+
Here is a wonderful Lionel Set of postwar "O" gauge trains from 1953. This is set No. 2207W which features the ABA set of Lionel No. 2353 F-3 Santa Fe's diesels with the following Freight Cars - No. 3484 Pennsylvania Operating Box Car, the No. 6415 "Sunoco" 3-Dome Tank Car, the No. 6462 "NYC" Gondola, a USC Controller, and the No. 6417 Pennsylvania lighted Caboose. We have the individual boxes with some Lionel Paper, as well as, the rare Set Box. Selling all that is pictured.
This is a very nice set in excellent original condition as seen in the many photographs. Breaking it down: The 2353 Santa Fe powered unit is very nice looking. It runs in forward and reverse. It has a few small nicks in the red around the windows, and in the high areas. The roof has its original nice bright silver finish. A couple of little rubs but pretty clean for these engines. The decals are as pictured. The non-powered unit is similar, it has a few areas where the paint is missing in the red. You can see them in the pictures. Silver also looks very nice. The battery compartment is nice and clean. Both the powered and non-powered unit has a couple small areas on the top red roof that have been factory touched-up. I'd say about (3) small touches. The B Unit has a little more wear on the silver, but looks good. Decals 100% and all porthole windows intact. Overall the freights are very nice, with no problems that I see. The 3484 shows slight wear, as well as the Tank Car and Gondola. The Caboose is complete with no breaks. The Engine boxes are all there with (3) sheets of Lionel paper that was torn and repaired in a few places. All have their original Inserts. The "T" engine box is missing most flaps. The "C" box is very nice. One end has the flap has a tear and the flaps have been repaired. The 6462 is missing flaps on one end. The other boxes are missing some coupler flaps. The UCS is good, with wires still pliable. The set box is in very nice shape, but has some wear on the corners and one end flap has some skinning. Overall, a nice set for your collections - don't miss.
