Scarce LAPEER TRAILMOBILE Arcade #233 Cast Iron Stake Truck Trailer

Here is a fantastic cast iron toy from Arcade, manufactured in 1931. This is called the "Stake Truck Trailer" - marked No. 233. What makes this one so rare is that it was used as an Advertising piece, and specially made for Lapeer Trailmobile. That advertising is embossed on the trailer both sides. Only a couple are known to exist. The last I saw was at the Julia Auction in 2009 (see last picture  for the results). The toy measures 11-5/16" x 2-3/4" with a height of 3-1/2". Rarely seen, this one is in very good condition. Has the red tractor with remnants of the original Arcade decal. The trailer has a partial Arcade decal in the bed. Nickel plated cast iron wheels. No breaks, cracks or repairs. Nickel plated cast iron driver. One for the collection.
