Lionel Postwar Set No. 1585W w/ 602 Switcher & 9 Freights SET BOXHere is a neat Lionel postwar freight set - No. 1585W (734), circa 1957 in set box. This is a large freight set containing more freight cars than any other cars in the postwar era - a total of (9) cars. The set consists of a nice No. 602 Seaboard NW2 switcher in OB with instruction sheet, a 6014 Frisco boxcar, a 6024 Nabisco boxcar, 6464-525 Minneapolis & St. Louis type II boxcar in OB, 6111 flatcar with three wooden logs, 6121 flatcar with three silver plastic pipes, 6112 gondola with four white canisters in box, a 6476 gray Lehigh Valley hopper, a tough 6025 black Gulf tank car, a 6017 SP type caboose in box, 6019 remote control track section, eight curve sections of track, five straight sections of track, and a 1053 60-watt transformer. The set overall is in excellent condition. The engine ran well in forward and reverse. A small hairline crack from the front screw. No other breaks or cracks to the shell. The Engine box has some staining, all flaps present. This set originally came with only some of the cars boxed, the rest just separated inside the set box by lining. These freights are all very nice - as pictured. The 6464-525 box is missing one tuck flap. Set box is a hard one to find. This being in good condition with some minor tearing and some discoloration.
