Lionel #1607WS 1958 Freight Set w/ 2037 6026W 6660 6818++ OB

This is a nice postwar set from 1958 that you don't see very often. This is the No. 1607WS "Trouble Shooter Work Set" that Lionel made circa 1958. At the time, was the top-of-the-line 027 set from that year. This Freight Set includes the No. 2037 Diecast Steam Engine with Magnetraction, Headlight and Smoke, the No. 6026W Whistle Tender, the No. 6465-60 Gulf Tank Car, a No. 6112-85 Gondola w/Canisters, the No. 6660 Boom Car, a No. 6464-425 New Haven Box Car, No. 6818 Flat Car w/Transformer, and the No. 6119-100 DL&W Work Caboose. Also we have an Uncoupler Track and 1044 Transformer. Comes with its hard-to-find Set Box. All that is in the many pictures.

The Engine is in excellent condition. Tested and it ran well in forward and reverse. The tender is missing its back steps. Worked when tested. The Engine and tender boxes are also very nice. The Engine box still sealed on one end, the tender box complete with all flaps. The Freights are all in excellent plus and better condition. Little run time on any. Fire car is missing three fire nozzles. The individual boxes are all in very good original condition. Some with tape on the insides. The  set box has some repaired tears on seams, a piece of tape on one corner, and some staining as pictured - but overall a solid box. A great set not to be missed. Thanks.
