Lionel # 2146WS Set w/ 726 Loco, 2426W, 2625, 2627 2628

Here is one of my favorite "O" gauge passenger sets that Lionel made - Set No. 2146WS - from 1948. A fairly hard set to find. The set includes an extremely nice all original No. 726 Berkshire 2-8-4 Locomotive with its No. 2426W Die-cast Whistle Tender. Both come in their BOXES with inserts. The Locomotive is in excellent condition, with just minimal wear. Currently, the engine lights up and hums, but did not run. It will need to be cleaned. The Tender is in excellent plus condition and worked well when tested. The Engine pulls the "Madison" Heavyweight illuminated cars - the No. 2625 "Irvington", the No. 2627 "Madison" and the No. 2628 "Manhattan". The boxes are very nice, with writing just on the end flap of one box. All have their original inserts, and Lionel Paper. Aso includes a nice 726 BOX with insert, and a nice Tender box. I believe that the tender insert is a reproduction. This set has the rare set box in very good condition. Some wear as pictured. Also includes a 1948 Instruction booklet, and a 726 Instruction sheet I took lots of pictures for you to see all (more coming I jsut wanted to get this listed), and please ask any questions. A really nice sought after set of Lionel trains.
