Lionel Gun Metal Gray Standard Gauge No. 400E Locomotive Engine & Tender

Here is one of Lionel's biggest and best engines in a great gun-metal gray color. This is the No. 400E 4-4-4 Standard Gauge Steam Engine with its matching Tender, all with copper and brass trim. This is a large and impressive piece. Made between 1927-36. The finish on this train overall is very nice, and is original. However, it has scratches and marks as pictured. The original frame is broken and glued in the front (see pics), and the steam chest is also broken, and glued,  around the screw underneath. It was put on a test track, and I couldn't get any power to the motor, so it did not run. The tender is is in good condition, missing a side ladder. A great prewar standard gauge train that needs some TLC. Please ask any questions. Thanks.
