Lionel Standard Gauge No. 400E Loco & Tender

Here is wonderful looking Lionel prewar standard gauge 400E black 4-4-4 steam loco with a 400T tender. The loco and tender have brass trim. The 400E steam loco has solid castings and the frame has grown slightly. The cab roof on the loco has been repainted. The rest of the loco is C7-8. The tender is also nice and clean - C7-8. I do see two things on the tender to point out. One, is that I can see chips on the side of the frame that have been touched up, and the hole on the bottom has been filled (?) This could have been the way it came from the Lionel factory, as I do not know the history of this particular piece, and overall the tender is extremely nice. The engine was put on a test track and it hums and lights up. The wheels turn, but they are tight. A good cleaning should have this baby running no problem. A great piece for your collections.
