1937 Lionel Prewar 700E 4-6-4 Scale Hudson w/ 700T Tender

Here is the 1937 version of the Lionel No. 700E Locomotive with its 700T Tender. Black zinc ally die-cast superstructure, nickel plates, rubber stamped "5344" below the windows and on the headlight. 14-1/8". NEW YORK CENTRAL on the tender. Condition on this train is excellent - as seen in the pictures. I do not know the history on this engine, but let me detail what I see - the frame looks nice and straight. I do not see any warping. Graphics on the engine are nice and strong. The back coupler pin is a replacement. When put on a test track it did not run. The tender looks very nice. This does not have a whistle, so it could be a tender from a kit. Pictures tell the story on this rare train. Don't miss - sure to be the focus of any collection.
