Early Postwar Lionel Freight Set w/ 1666 Engine 2466WX 2454 2452X +(DAKOTApaul)

When it comes to quintessential Lionel Trains - I think of this set. From 1946 this is Set No. 1411W. An 'O27' Freight Set that featured the No. 1666 2-6-2 Steam Engine with its matching No. 2466WX Tender. It was pulling a simple set of (4) Freights including a No. 2454 "Baby Ruth" Boxcar, and No. 2465 "Sunoco" double-dome Tank Car, and No. 2452X "PENNSYLVANIA" Gondola, and a No. 2472 red metal Caboose. This also come with a 75 Watt #1042 Transformer. Overall the set looks really nice as you can see in the many pictures below (and please click the link above to view ALL the photographs before bidding). The Engine lit up and ran like a banshee in reverse, but for some reason not forward! The tender whistled fine. The engine also has both of its front steps chipped. The cars all look excellent with only minor wear. The transformer has not been tested, but does have its original plug. A nice set - don't miss. Please ask any questions before bidding. Thanks.
