Rare Lionel No 228 Prewar 0-6-0 Switcher w/ 2228B Tender NO RESERVE (DAKOTApaul)

Here is one you won't find very often. This is the Lionel prewar No. 228 0-6-0 PRR Switcher with its matching No. 2228B Tender. The number 228 is cast in the boiler front plate. The tender is marked "2228T" on the bottom, but a bell has either been added or it came that way. Tender has been fitted with postwar trucks. The Engine Shell is in very good condition. Some minor wear to the high areas. Nice straight casting. This engine does have the front operating coupler, but pin is missing on the coupler. When put on a test track it ran in forward and reverse. The tender shell is also in very good condition - as seen in the pictures. Graphics are beginning to fade. The rubber around the plug holes is missing. Did not presently light.
