Wonderful Lionel Standard Gauge Set 385E Loco 385T + 1766 1767 1768

Here is a great original set of prewar Lionel Standard Gauge Trains. This is the "Washington Special" set from the late 1930s which features the No. 385E Steam Locomotive with its No. 385T whistle tender in a dark gun-metal grey with copper trim. This set includes (3) original Lionel/Ives transitional passenger cars - two No. 1766 Coaches, and the No. 1768 Observation. All done in terra-cotta and maroon. This set has all original paint, is from a private collection - and is in excellent condition. Pictures tell the story on this excellent looking set. The Engine is a beauty. Original dark gun-metal gray paint that is in excellent shape. Original wheels and has the chugger. The steam chest has been replaced. When tested the engine ran in forward and reverse. Front light was out. The cars are also in excellent original condition. Some minor scrapes and scratches, but overall as you can see in the many pictures, these are very nice passenger cars. The roofs has a couple small dings and a couple scratches. The Observation is missing one journal. A 1766 is missing one handrail. Bottoms, wheels, trucks and couplers clean. Don't miss this rare and great looking set for your standard gauge collections, and please ask any questions. Buy with confidence. Thanks.
