Large Size Hubley Cast Iron America Tri-Motor Airplane Toy

Here is a wonderful cast iron airplane made by Hubley, circa. early 1930s. American. Called the "America", this is there largest sized cast iron airplane. Has a wingspan of 17". Original rubber tires (left front tire is flattened in one spot), original pilots, and marked "America" on wing. Still retains metal clapper piece underneath. Minor paint chipping and wear to wing and fuselage. Provenance: Originally out of The Bob Brady Collection, and pictured in "Collecting Vintage Aircraft Toys" by Geoffrey Randolph 'GR' Webster on page 39-47. One of the nicest ones out there.
