Lionel # 225E Black Steam Engine w/ 2235W Plastic Whistle Tender

Here is a nice late prewar Lionel "O" Gauge Steam Locomotive - No. 225E with a rare 2235W Plastic Shell Whistle Tender. Engine measures 10-3/8" long. Overall, these are in very good condition - as seen in the pictures. Engine has been tested and it lights up and runs in forward and reverse, but could benefit from a good cleaning and lube. The Tender has a tag on it that states that this is a scarce Plastic Tender from 1941-42. Overall, it has some paint skinning, and some oxidation on the bottom. The drawbar has two extra hole drilled. The whistle in the Tender worked when tested. Please look at the pictures carefully as they tell the condition well. Don't miss this one. Thanks.
