Lionel Prewar O27 Freight Set w/ 1688 Engine 1680 1679 1682 Freights

Here is a very nice Set of Lionel O gauge trains - late prewar, with simulated knuckle box couplers and blacken journals. I have not seen this set before which features the Lionel 1688 Locomotive with its matching No. 1689T Tender in flat black. The engine pulls the following tinplate freights. The No. 1680 Sunoco Lionel Lines Tank Car - the No. 1679 "Baby Ruth" Box Car - and the No. 1682 Lionel Lines Caboose. Comes with its original BOXES. The engine measures 9-1/2" in length. Is marked Lionel O27 on bottom. Overall, the set is in excellent and better condition. The Engine lights up and hums, but will need an e-unit cleaning/oil for it to run. Wheels turn freely.  Tender is in just as nice original condition. The freights all look very nice. The only thing I see is some oxidation on one side of the tank car frame (see pics). The Boxes are there, but torn and tattered. Missing some flaps. Please ask any questions. Don't miss.
