Original Prewar Lionel Std. Gauge Blue Comet 400E w/ 400W Tender

When you think of Lionel Standard Gauge Trains - this is the Engine that comes to mind. The "Blue Comet". This listing is for the 400E Steam Locomotive, with its 400W Tender. A really nice looking set. Engine ran when tested, tender whistled. The Engine looks really nice, however, it may have some repainting. I'm guessing that the cab roof and possibly the boiler. However, it was done awhile ago, and was done extremely well. I believe that the frame is original and is not warped. The Tender is a little darker in color than the Engine, but I believe original paint. It has one scratch on the roof as seen in the pictures. A great set - not to be missed. Thanks.
