Lionel Postwar Set # 2140WS, 671, 2671W, 2402, 2401 ++

Here is a very nice set of Lionel postwar "O" gauge trains - Set No. 2140WS. This was cataloged in 1948 (they also had one in 1949). The set includes - the No. 671 6-8-6 Steam Turbine Engine, with its 2671W streamlined Pennsylvania 12-wheeled Whistle Tender. Also, we also have (3) passenger cars - the green with yellow trim illuminated No. 2402 Chatham Pullman, another No. 2402 Chatham Pullman, and the No. 2401 Hillside Observation. Selling what is pictured - and AS IS, so please look at all the pictures as they show the condition well. Overall, this is a nice looking set, but it does have some issues. The engine is an early example with the thin rims on all the wheels, and should have the smoke bulb with original crystal - however, that is missing (see pics). Additionally, it is missing its back steps, has a nick off one of the front corners, and has has a few areas of touch-up. On the positive side, it did run in forward and reverse, when tested. The tender is the 2671W with silver lettering. The shell appears to be a replacement. Whistles when tested. The Passenger Cars are generally in good to very good condition. The 2400 has a chip out of one end, has a broken truck, and needs to be rewired. The 2402 has a large melt section along the bottom. Some scratches and paint chips. The 2401 Observation has chip in the back rear light. Some roughness and chips to the rear deck. It was the only car that lights up when tested.  Please ask any questions on condition.
