Nice Lionel No. 1589WS Freight Set w/ 2037 6026W 6464-450 ++

This is a nice postwar set from 1957 that you don't see very often. Set No. 1589WS. This freight set includes the No. 2037 steam loco, a No. 6026W whistle tender, the 6424-60 flatcar with autos, a No. 6112-1 canister car w/ four white cannisters, a No. 6111-75 flatcar with pipes,  a No. 6024 PRR Shredded Wheat Nabisco boxcar, a a nice No. 6464-450 Great Northern boxcar, and a No. 6017 caboose. Comes with all its Individual Boxes (missing 6025 box), (9) pieces of curved track, and (3) straights. A No. 1044 Transformer, CTC, Control track and Switch. Comes with its rare basket weave Set Box. All that is in the many pictures.

The Engine shows some wear to the high areas. Tested and it ran well in forward and reverse. Whistle tender is excellent, whistled when tested. The Engine box has some writing and a stain. The Freights are all in excellent condition. The Great Northern Boxcar is outstanding. The Automobile car has reproduction cars. Some oxidation spots on the flatcar. The 6464-450 box has a replaced flap, and a torn flap. The 6424 box has some tears and is missing a flap. The 6026W box has tape on the sides and flaps. The 6121 box has tape as reinforcement. The other boxes are excellent. The set box has some tears in the flaps, but overall looks good. A great set not to be missed. Thanks.
